Some interesting news coming from the folks at DigiTimes. Intel is currently on track to release their new Bealake chipset in 2007 with the Bearlake-P ad the Bearlake-G versions coming out during the 2nd quarter. However, things get interesting during the third quarter when the Bearlake-X and the Bearlake-G+ chipsets launch. Both of these products will support DDR3 memory and PCIe 2.0 but more importantly - the G+ chipset will support HDMI and HDCP technologies. This is great stuff for would be HTPC owners as this will let you build or purchase systems that will work with the latest technologies out there - especially with upcoming DRM protected content on HD DVD and Blu-ray.
