If you’re looking for a solid portable media center, you should take a look at the HP Pavilion dv9000t as reviewed by PC Magazine. This sweet looking notebook features a high powered Intel Core 2 Duo processor T7400 running at 2.16GHz, 2GB of RAM, a 17 inch widescreen display with a resolution of 1440 x 900, an NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 GPU, 200GB of storage space, WiFi support, and an integrated HD DVD-ROM/DVD+R Dual Layer drive. There unit measures 15.16″ x 11.65″ x 1.57″ and comes with an integrated consumer IR and even 2 headphone ports. Feel like hooking this system up to a television screen? Not a problem - it’s got a built in HDMI port. About the only annoying thing is the lack of an integrated TV tuner but you can get an optional ExpressCard based tuner with the system.

Here’s the verdict from the PC Magazine review:

The dv9000t is a solid Media Center laptop if you’re looking for an HD DVD drive, fast processing, and smooth video-playback software with HP’s QuickPlay 2.3 player.
