PC Magazine has posted up a review of the latest Dell Windows Media Center system called the XPS 410. This is one solid performing system which won’t actually break the bank! Inside the XPS 410 is Intel’s latest Core 2 Duo processor which we all know is the speed king these days. Other features of the XPS 410 include:
- Support for up to 1TB of disk space - should be enough for all those shows you’re going to record
- Support for Dell’s DataSafe protection scheme which helps keep your documents and data safe and secure in case the worst happens to your system
- Support for up to 4GB of dual channel memory
The reviewed system included 1GB of RAM, 320GB of disk space, an NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS, Dual Layer DVD+/-RW, and a 20 inch widescreen LCD display. How much was that system? A mere $2313 with the monitor or $1913 without the monitor. Here’s the verdict:
If you’re looking for a high-powered, Core 2 Duo-equipped system that’s not obscenely expensive, the Dell XPS 410 is a good choice. DataSafe backup and Media Center with TV/DVR are big plusses.
