SnapStream begins shipping Beyond TV 4.5 November 18, 2006

SnapStream has announced that they are now shipping version 4.5 of Beyond TV. With this version, SnapStream introduces many new enhancements as well as bug fixes to the 4.x line.
The one new feature that 4.5 supports is the integrated DVD burning plug-in module (which needs to be purchased separately). Now you can directly burn DVDs from Beyond TV of your television shows - a very nice feature for HTPC users (we all know how much of a pain it is for MCE users to burn DVD videos!). A couple of things to note about the DVD burning plugin:
- You can burn either a DVD video or DVD data disk
- You can skip commercials using SmartSkip
- You can also add in more television shows via DiscSqueeze
- Audio is encoded in 2 channel Dolby Digital

Other improvements to Beyond TV 4.5 include increased performance of the library when there are more than 100 shows present and a new release of the Web Admin.
