Niveus will retrofit previous Media Center PCs with CableCard support December 8, 2006
Posted by flung in : Windows Media Center, HTPC Systems , trackbackIf you’re thinking about a Niveus Media Center PC but you’re not sure if you should wait for CableCard support to come out - you now have another option. Niveus will retrofit previously purchased Media Center PCs for free - making BIOS level adjustments to ensure the company meets Microsoft’s requirements for Vista and adding in Vista and CableCard support to the PCs.
So what this means is - you can go ahead and purchase the Niveus Media Center system now and not worry about missing out on Vista and CableCard support when it comes out. You can send the system back in to get it retrofiited for free. NICE.
